We warmly welcome Fani Gevetzis as the new teacher of Music Movement Education and Theatre Workshop at Fondation Kaloy.
Fani Gevetzis is a piano teacher and music educator. She studied at the Department of Music Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and subsequently completed an Interdepartmental Postgraduate Programme in ‘Music, Culture and Communication: Anthropological and Communication Approaches’. She also completed her conservatoire studies in Piano and Advanced Music Theory, graduating with a Piano Diploma with the highest distinction (Unanimous First Class Honours) and a Fugue Certificate.
She has specialised in music movement education through seminars and conferences in Greece (including at ‘To Polytechno’ Centre for Children’s Artistic Education and at International Conferences of the Hellenic Association for Music Education) and abroad (Orff Schulwerk in Salzburg and the Kodály Institute in Kecskemét).
She has collaborated with conservatoires and cultural centres in Athens, Nafplio, and Karystos as a music foundation teacher, organising musical performances for children. In recent years she has worked as a teacher of Piano, Music Movement Education, and Children’s Choir at the Kostea-Geitona Schools.
