How does one create a soundscape using only voices? What can a conductor do with the sounds of nature? The answers will be revealed in a performance that is unique every time – because its main protagonist changes with each show: the children themselves!
Three musicians and a music educator open the story box and present, in their own distinctive way, two fairy tales written by composers. With everything made from newspaper, they show children their own approach to recycling materials, and through an interactive method, invite them to become part of the performance. The texts have been adapted so that, during the narration, space is given for the children to create soundscapes under the guidance of the narrator.
The beloved ‘Peter and the Wolf’ by Sergei Prokofiev, and ‘Vanessa and the Magic Flute’ by Allan Rosenchec, will come to life through notes and voices, merging with our imagination. How will Peter manage to befriend the wolf? Can a flute hold within it more power and magic than love itself?
