The Deputy Head of the Ephorate of Antiquities for Corinthia & our own Honorary Associate Professor Dr Georgios Spyropoulos and our Associate Professor Dr Chrysanthi Gallou have been busy for the past two weeks in Corinthia forging new partnerships for our world-leading Centre for Spartan & Peloponnesian Studies (CSPS). In this context, we feel truly fortunate to have established an important working collaboration with the pioneering Fondation Kaloy – Καλογεροπούλειο Ίδρυμα Τεχνών και Πολιτισμού, with the aim to promote uniquely curated and impactful initiatives that go beyond the expected.

Established by philanthropist Nikolaos Kalogeropoulos, Fondation Kaloy is the beacon of culture in Corinthia, providing high-level artistic education (music, theatre, painting, etc.), orchestrating innovative, signature events that captivate and inspire, and promoting and disseminating science, philosophy, and the performing arts through the organisation of seminars, lectures, conferences, interviews, and workshops.

The Department of Classics & Archaeology and the CSPS express their deep gratitude to the President of the Fondation Kaloy, Mrs Maria Christara, and the Foundation Treasurer, Mrs Mina Oikonomou, for their collaboration and friendship.
