A Historic Moment for Culture: The Official Partnership with the “Friends of Music” Society

We are especially honoured to announce the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation, signed in Athens on 31 March 2026, sealing a strategic alliance between Fondation Kaloy and the iconic “Friends of Music” Society (SFM).

The agreement, co-signed by our Foundation’s President, Mrs. Maria Christara, and the President of SFM, Mr. Panos Dimaras, is a commitment to seven years of shared collaboration with the pillar institution that envisioned and founded the Athens Concert Hall (Megaro Mousikis).

Alongside the Pioneers of Music

We are partnering with the Society that, for decades, has:

  • Founded the Athens Concert Hall, transforming Greece’s cultural landscape.
  • Created the Great Music Library “Lilian Voudouri,” the hub of musical knowledge.
  • Given rise to iconic ensembles, such as the Camerata Orchestra, Camerata Junior, and the Musika Choir.

What the Agreement Provides (Articles 1 & 2):

Through this partnership, our Foundation is strengthened with:

  • Artistic Co-productions:Joint concerts and initiatives.
  • Scientific Support:Exchange of expertise and creative ideas.
  • Educational Activity:Organisation of joint workshops and seminars.
  • Outreach:Mutual promotional support for the activities of both organisations.

As set out in the final article of the Memorandum, this collaboration begins immediately, aiming to bring top-tier musical education and artistic creation even closer to our city.

For the Kalogeropouleio Foundation, recognition from such a historic institution represents the highest honour and the springboard for a new creative era.
