Joint Event with PIOP at the Museum of the Environment, Stymphalia

The first joint event between the Cultural Foundation of the Piraeus Group (PIOP) and Fondation Kaloy took place on Holy Monday, 2 April, at the Museum of the Environment in Stymphalia, to great success and with enthusiastic participation from children and adults alike.

On the occasion of World Theatre Day (27 March) and International Children’s Book Day (2 April), members of the Foundation’s music ensemble, led by the Artistic Director, together with Kaloy’s Ensemble – its musicians and narrator – opened ‘A Story Box Full of Colours and Music’, transporting the young pupils and their accompanying adults into the wonderful world of classical music in a truly unique way.

With the aid of a bright spring day, allowing us to admire the extraordinary landscape of Lake Stymphalia, Ms Laia Kiourktsoглou guided us through the museum spaces with singular narrative flair and vividness, taking young and old alike on a journey from mythology to more recent history and the present day, bringing to life the story of mountainous Corinthia and the wider Peloponnese.

We are delighted and grateful for this collaboration, and hope that this was only the beginning of many future joint ventures.
