The Kaloy Youth Orchestra launches its summer season with a performance at the 1st Primary School of Loutraki ‘Eleftherios K. Venizelos’, as part of the school’s closing event ‘From Imagination to Paper – The Great Festival of Children’s Screenwriting’.
The programme is enriched with music from the world of cinema and beyond: from the Marche des Turcs by J. B. Lully (Tous les matins du monde) and the Rondeau by H. Purcell (Pride and Prejudice) to Waltz No. 2 by D. Shostakovich (Eyes Wide Shut), He’s a Pirate by K. Badelt (Pirates of the Caribbean), and O Fortuna by C. Orff (Excalibur) – a musical dialogue with the children’s imagination and creativity in a shared educational and artistic achievement.
Musical direction and orchestration: Panagiotis Theodosiou.
Our warmest thanks to the School Principal, Mr Dimitrios Sygrimis, and to the programme’s teacher, Ms Hara Kourlesi.
